USA TAG 2015
One of the things that I have really enjoyed about
making these tags is that I am using product that I have
always wanted to use and I am becoming more comfortable
using them. It is SOOO MUCH FUN!
I loved making this simple tag this month and adding some
little sparkle to mine.
And yes...I did make a few changes for this tag...
but not much....

I had to change my ink because I didn't have my Hickory
Smoke (YET) so I used some Weathered Wood.
I also used some Tattered Angels Silver Sugar
Glimmer Mist to add a little shimmer. (You can't see
it in the photo...but it's there). Then I used a pretty sparkly star
from Teresa Collins Blingage - Shelly's Stars to dangle with
an eagle charm (found in my stash) from the ribbon.
There were several things I really enjoyed about making this tag:
I love tearing the paper and adding ink...I haven't used this technique
in a long time, but have always loved the look.
I also loved adding ink to the ribbon along the edges and adding more
distress color to age it. It looked so vintage ..LOVE!
The only other change I made was to add some distress picket fence
to my eagle and star and I scuffed up my # so it wasn't so shiny.
To finish my look I added walnut distress ink to my # and around the edge of the tag.
Oh I almost forgot...I didn't have the rubons...so I typed the word
brave onto the label. I realize that I used a red label instead of the black,
but it's such a small difference, that I left it...Besides...I do like red! I think
the word shows up better beside the red too, since mine was typed!
One thing I need to work on...
My sewing...I can't sew straight line on these tags to save my life...LOL
(But there are NO MISTAKES ...right?)
AND.... I love the Distress Glaze.... I can't wait to use it again!
I love the 4th of JULY....being with family...cooking out...
and of course the OHHHS and AHHHS of the fireworks!
A Perfect Tag for a Perfect Day!
