Finally...I'm a blogger! But most important, I'm a scrapper. I have always been involved in art since I was a little girl. I have my parents to thank for my love of art. My parents were very giving to their children. They were very involved in my growing up years.
Whenever I had a project due, my daddy was there to help me. He also taught me the joy of scrappin. He always had a camera when there was something special going on. When you come from a large family like mine, I have three brothers and a sister, plus a grandmother that lived in our home, there was always something happening. So my parents had their hands full. After vacations, birthdays, Christmas...etc., you know, all those special days…and my daddy had taken pictures; he would place these pictures in albums. He was good at movies too, but the albums could be taken out of the cabinet and looked at whenever you wanted to view the pictures of yourself and other family members.
Ever since I got married and had my own children...I have wanted to scrap MY family pictures. Between work, raising my children, keeping house, and not having any place to scrap...well....something has always interfered. About three years ago we moved to a new home that has a basement. I want you to know that part of the unfinished section of the basement is MINE. ALL MINE!
I claimed it for my scrappin place. My husband calls it my woman cave. I don't care that it's unfinished. I just know that I can go there and not think about anything but scrappin. I believe I am on a mission. I am bound and determined to finish what I started with MY family pictures. To put MY pictures where they belong….in albums where my family can enjoy them. It's been a long road to get where I am today, but I am here to stay....on my scrappin road.
