September Tag 2016
Here is Tim's September Tag
This tag is full of great techniques. I was able to try this
process in Chemistry 103. It is really amazing and gives
you a fabulous WOW factor when your "GHOST"
image appears.
Tim has all the instructions for this tag on his blog
by following the link below:

Since I had already tried this with the darker inks, I wanted to
try something in brighter colors. I made this tag the day after
the shooting and demonstrations began in Charlotte, N. C. which
is where my sister and her family live.
My husband also had to go there for business.
My tag was made with North Carolina on my mind!
I used the same color of paints on
my base of the tag as Tim did.
The colors are so pretty and soothing.
Next you need to have Yupo paper, archival ink and alcohol ink
to create this effect.

First color the Yupo paper with Alcohol ink.
I tested my brighter colors out on a left over piece of Yupo,
before attempting my idea on a larger piece of Yupo.
It doesn't take long for alcohol inks to dry.
Next, you stamp your image with archival ink
and immediately wipe it off with a soft cloth.
A "ghost" of the image remains.
I am glad I tested it, because I used two stamps (a background
stamp and a main picture stamp, "the world").

Tim's stamped main image had the background with it.
My world image got lost in the background when
stamping the background first. My image was not a
solid large image....it needed help taking "center stage."
I decided to stamp the world image on first and then
just stamp the heart background surrounding the world.
I like the way that turned out better.
I was so glad I practiced first. It took me a little longer
to complete my tag, but it saved me from making a mistake
and having to redo it.
Next I cut out the main embellishment pieces for my tag
inked, painted, and attached them with glue.
I wanted to keep this tag simple so the world would
show up in the middle and the focus would be on the message.
(I cut the leaves off after I cut out the image).
The word "world" came from Tim's Adventure Words
thinlits die:

Did you know that these dies cut through chipboard???
They do....I love them and hope Tim continues to make
more. I painted the chipboard with Distress Peeled Paint.
I found a heart to dangle from my lace at the top.
I typed the words "The" and "Needs" in a word
document, cut them out and glued them on the tag.
I kept hearing the song "What the Wold Needs
Now is Love" in my head...the lyrics
were written by Hal David, and the song was
composed by Burt Bacharach.
Dionne Warwick's beautiful voice was singing
that song over and over!
No, not just for some, oh, but just for everyone............
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone
Lord, we don't need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last 'till the end of time
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last 'till the end of time
What the world needs now is love, sweet love

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some but for everyone
Lord, we don't need another meadow
There are cornfields and wheat fields enough to grow
There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine
Oh, listen, lord, if you want to know
What the world needs now is love, sweet love No, not just for some but for everyone. There are cornfields and wheat fields enough to grow
